The Trust Deed of the David Gibbons Foundation states: ‘The objects are to promote the welfare and relief of

  • people that are physcially or mentally unwell, disabled, or affected by learning disabilities;
  • people suffering from financial hardship;
  • and the elderly;

within East Devon and the County of Devon, in any manner as the Trustees may decide’.  All grants are made at the discretion of the Trustees.

Grants are NOT made for the following reasons:

  1. Applications that require grant payments to be made in instalments, over any period of time.  Only one grant payment per application will be made.
  2. For trips outside of the UK, for any reason
  3. For retrospective funding (items or services that have already been purchased).

This Trust has a preference for helping small and local charities / organisations. We usually expect grants to be spent within 6 months of receipt, if this is not to be the case please let us know.

Only one application from any applicant will be considered in any financial year (April to March).
